Allergic rhinitis is a recurrent problem affecting the nose. It is usually deep-rooted and often hereditary in nature
Symptoms :
The usual symptoms are itching in the nose, eyes, and, sometimes, ears. Followed by sneezing, runny nose, watery eyes, forehead heaviness, etc.
Causes :
- For people suffering from allergic rhinitis, the surface immunity of the nose is poor. As a result, it overreacts to an otherwise harmless allergen.
- There are no known causes; however, common allergens are dust, house mites, hay, pollen, smoke, strong odors, perfumes, etc.
- In many cases, it has been found to happen to people who have poor gut health.
- More than often, it manifests as part of sinusitis.
- Many times, it can be an early sign of allergic bronchitis, which follows it if earlier it was suppressed by anti-allergic treatments.
- A large percentage of people suffer from it as a hereditary problem, where either there is a history of tuberculosis or any other form of allergic respiratory tract disease.
Treatment
- The usual anti-allergic treatment gives temporary relief.
- However, for a curative treatment without side effects, one must take type-I homeopathy
Role of Homeopathy
- Homeopathic medicines can cure it by directly acting on the lining of the affected sinus.
- Since it is linked to gut health, I treat gut health using appropriate dietary changes and homeopathic remedies.
- Besides, I treat various allergens using homeopathic remedies such as Tuberculinum, Medorrhinum, etc.
- Additionally, I emphasise the role of nutrition in maintaining health. Hence, we discuss food in detail and emphasise appropriate supplements.
